The Model Validation – Senior Quantitative Analyst is a member of the Model Risk Management team, within the Group Risk Management and Assurance unit (CRO) and is responsible to perform independent technical validations on non-financial models (e.g. Compliance, Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence/gen AI) as well as financial models (e.g. Stress Testing, Liquidity/ALM, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Investment/Research).

YOUR CHALLENGE

Perform independent validation of models, in accordance with a multi-annual review plan. This includes:
- testing of the model’s assumptions (including expert-based judgements), conceptual soundness, robust implementation, appropriateness of input data, model parameters, and their calibration accuracy (through statistical techniques, development of benchmark models and data analysis),
- reviewing the governance around the model, its usage, and its documentation
- identification and evaluation of model limitations, and assessment of overall model risk, including assigning a model risk rating
- production and delivery of high-quality model validation reports to evidence a sound challenge and risk-oriented validation findings
Supervise a small team of junior model validation quantitative analysists, in their day-to-day model validation and model governance tasks
Track and verify model risk mitigation activities and ensure adequate oversight over models through their lifecycle
Monitor model performance indicators along standardized risk metrics
Build strong relationships and interact with model owners, developers, users, subject matter experts and Risk Management functions both at headquarter in Zurich and in foreign locations

Higher university degree in a quantitative area (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Data / Computer Science), Master or PhD level, FRM or PRM is an advantage
Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in validating financial (market, credit, liquidity risk etc.) and/or non-financial models (Compliance, Information Security etc.) and use cases for Large Language Models (generative AI) and/or Machine Learning models (predictive AI)

The Sr. Manager, AI Audit & Automation designs, builds, and deploys production-grade AI and automation solutions that transform how audit work is planned, executed, and evidenced. This is a strategy and execution role, requiring strong judgement, deep AI governance expertise, deep understanding the Responsible AI principle and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex environment. Key responsibilities … * Lead the design and uplift of the end-to-end Responsible AI governance framework, covering areas such as transparency, bias mitigation, explainability etc * Drive the operationalisation of policies and frameworks, embedding clear guardrails across AI development and use, including for third-party and internal AI to manage AI risks * Act as the internal SME on AI regulation and risk frameworks, translating regulatory expectations into clear, implementable technical and governance requirements (e.g. ISO42001, ISO42005, NIST AI RMF, Australian Guidance for AI Adoption) * Provide senior guidance and decisioning support on Responsible AI risks, controls and trade-offs across strategic initiatives and executive forums * Define and implement technical capabilities that enable Responsible AI by design, including evaluation, monitoring, traceability and auditability * Uplift and scale governance tooling and processes, including leveraging AI to enhance Responsible AI oversight and improve efficiency of governance activities * Lead AI use case intake, triage and preliminary risk assessments, partnering with SME and technical teams to assess risks such as explainability and ensure appropriate human-in-the-loop controls etc * Maintain core enterprise capabilities (e.g. AI inventory, monitoring and reporting) to support transparency, accountability and effective risk management * Partner with business and technology teams to ensure AI solutions deliver genuine customer value while meeting ethical and risk expectations * Act as a senior connector across multiple stakeholders to balance safety, compliance and delivery speed, and drive a cohesive Responsible AI culture * Champion ethical AI use, including initiatives that deliver positive societal and community outcomes * Develop and deliver training and organisational uplift on Responsible AI expectations and requirements Skills & experience * Demonstrated experience operating at a senior leadership level, driving enterprise-wide strategy and execution initiatives * Strong experience in AI risk, governance, compliance, legal, technology or related disciplines within a regulated environment * Deep understanding of Responsible AI principles and ability to translate them into practical, scalable controls * Strong understanding of AI technologies, how they work, associated risks and how to manage them (e.g. bias, explainability, drift, misuse) * Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes across complex, cross-functional environments * Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks and lifecycle oversight processes * Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability with sound judgement * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance. POSITION SUMMARY Bayview Asset Management is seeking a Senior Analyst, AI Governance to enhance the firm’s enterprise technology governance function. This role is responsible for assisting in the establishing and overseeing of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance framework that ensures alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and operational excellence. This Sr. Analyst will oversee AI governance, model risk alignment, technology risk management, and regulatory compliance across the organization. This role serves as a key control function, partnering with IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, and business leadership to ensure safe, responsible, and compliant use of technology — including emerging AI and Generative AI capabilities. Master’s degree preferred Experience in AI/IT governance, risk management, or a related field, with direct exposure to AI/ML governance strongly preferred Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in the IT domain Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CGEIT are highly desirable. Location and Compensation: This role can be fully remote, however if a candidate is found in the Toronto area, it is preferred. The compensation available for this role can be between $130,000 - $160,000 CAD. This range is dependent on experience. There is also a performance-based bonus structure available.
