Purpose of the role

To validate and approve models for specific usages both at inception and on a periodic basis, and of model changes, as well as conducting annual reviews. 

Accountabilities

• Validation of models for their intended use and scope, commensurate with the complexity and materiality of the models.
• Approval or rejection of a model or usage based on assessment of the model’s conceptual soundness, performance under intended use and the clarity of the documentation of the model’s inherent risks, limitations and weaknesses.
• Assessment of any compensating controls used to mitigate Model risk.
• Documentation of validation findings and recommendations in clear and concise reports, providing actionable insights for model improvement.
• Evaluation of the coherence of model interactions and quality of Large Model Framework aggregate results that generate output for regulatory submissions or management decision making and planning.
• Design of the framework and methodology to measure and, where possible, quantify model risk, including the assessment of framework level uncertainty.

Join us as a Model Validation AVP, where you will validate and approve risk models at inception, during usage changes, and through periodic and annual reviews. This role operates within the risk function and focuses primarily on retail credit models including credit cards and loan portfolios. To be successful as a Model Validation AVP, you should have:

• Experience in risk model validation, model development, or quantitative modeling within financial services

What we’re looking for:

• Deep AI/ML or data platform product experience, including building or scaling products that rely on model training data, user data, or complex backend systems; experience in AI safety, responsible AI, or AI compliance is a strong plus.
• Proven success driving cross-company, multi-year programs at a Staff/Principal level (or equivalent), especially in ambiguous problem spaces that require both strategic frameworks and hands-on execution.
• Experience working closely with Legal, Privacy, Policy, and Security teams to operationalize regulatory or policy requirements into product features, data controls, and platform capabilities.

Role Summary/Purpose:

The VP, Model Monitoring is  a role (Including People Management) within India Analytics Hub (IAH), operating under the Decision Management, reporting to the Model Monitoring Lead in US, is a key stakeholder in the ongoing risk oversight of deployed customer and non-customer facing models across the organization. This role serves as a subject matter expert in model monitoring best practices and governance standards, ensuring early identification of model risk through data-driven diagnostics and analyses. Leveraging advanced analytics, visualization tools, and regulatory understanding, this role ensures models remain robust, interpretable, and aligned with evolving business and regulatory expectations—ultimately safeguarding the integrity of the firm’s model risk management lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the model monitoring roadmap, ensuring the practices are forward-looking, risk-informed, and aligned with business priorities and regulatory expectations. 

• Lead performance oversight for high-impact models, prioritizing monitoring efforts based on risk, materiality, and business impact—ensuring the right models receive the right level of scrutiny. 

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

• Drive complex performance investigations, including monitoring, reporting, and flagging performance issues to support identification of root causes and business implications and guide coordinated corrective actions

• Solid understanding of model performance metrics such as KS, AUC, PSI, and statistical indicators of stability and drift. 

• Ability to synthesize complex technical findings into business-friendly communications and recommendations. 

• Experience managing multiple projects or monitoring streams, with attention to timelines, quality, and stakeholder expectations. 

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to create actionable performance dashboards. 

• Working knowledge of performance drift metrics, stability indicators, and key model health metrics.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled AI Security Engineer to join a dynamic team of AI Security engineers in Israel. This critical role will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust security controls for our Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) systems and their underlying platforms. The successful candidate will proactively identify and mitigate unique security risks associated with the AI/ML lifecycle, including model integrity, data poisoning, adversarial attacks, and system robustness. Financial Crime Model Validation Manager

The Financial Crime Model Validation Manager is expected to lead and execute model validation testing processes on systems which support Financial Crime programs, including transaction monitoring, customer risk assessment/rating, fraud detection and watchlist screening/interdiction systems.

Responsibilities will include designing and/or updating testing strategies (e.g., creation of or enhancement to risk and control matrices) which will aid in the independent testing of these systems. Position Summary
This is a highly technical individual contributor role. The Distinguished Engineer is expected to serve as a technical authority and trusted advisor for AI security and related infrastructure security domains.

Financial Crime Model Validation Manager

The Financial Crime Model Validation Manager is expected to lead and execute model validation testing processes on systems which support Financial Crime programs, including transaction monitoring, customer risk assessment/rating, fraud detection and watchlist screening/interdiction systems.

• Model Risk Review and Effective Challenge: You perform the validation of models, other estimation approaches and critical tool calculators and assess the model risk to confirm model appropriateness and capability for a designated portfolio. You are responsible for providing effective challenge to the credit risk models during model development and communicating decisions regarding model use to the business to ensure transparency and understanding of models and model risks. You assess the models’ capabilities, stress points and limitations; you assess the associated model risk and the controls in place to mitigate identified risks.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Effective communication is crucial in this role. You will manage relationships with model developers, owners, and users, influencing and advising on model risk-related matters. Your ability to explain complex technical concepts in everyday language will set you apart.

• Regulatory Expertise: Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies. May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices. Interprets new regulations and assesses impacts to the program / portfolio validation framework.
• Risk Understanding: You will need to connect the dots between technical issues and business considerations.

What we are looking for:

• A MSc or PhD in quantitative fields such as statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, data science, actuarial sciences, electrical engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in model validation and/or development within a financial institution, particularly in the credit risk area, is a plus.
• Certifications: While qualifications like CFA are helpful, they are not mandatory.
• Experience in credit risk models, including Stress Testing & loss forecasting, AIRB and Adjudication/Account Management is a plus.
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, R, and SAS (Python is preferred).
• Proficiency in working with relational databases – SQL or Oracle.
• Working with Big data tools and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
• A can-do attitude and a research, deep-dive mindset.
