Job Description
Allstaters who are designing, developing, and governing AI need risk insights and actionable guidance at the speed of AI. As the Product Management Lead in this space, you'll be the voice of those building and governing AI. You'll work with the Lead Engineer to deliver Risk Management Agents (RMAs) and the technology supporting them, making sure these AI Agents meet governance needs, provide real value, and are easy for users to adopt and use.⢠Authors, tests, and accepts stories.
⢠Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy.
⢠Contribute towards creating the product strategy for one or more products in our growing digital product portfolio.
⢠Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to provide recommendations on decisions about product strategy.
⢠Provide input on decomposing complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for the Product Team.
⢠Manages the product backlog, contributes towards creating an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations.
⢠Represent the āvoice of the customerā; invest significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs and habits.
⢠Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.
⢠Strong communication and stakeholder management.
⢠Ability to turn governance needs into product features.
⢠Familiarity with agile practices like prioritization and planning.
⢠Understanding of risk and governance frameworks (privacy, data, AI risk, security).
⢠Ability to learn quickly, including how AI systems are designed, developed, deployed and monitored.
⢠5 or more years of experience (Preferred)

As Allstate accelerates its adoption of AI, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and advanced machine learning, the need for robust, embedded governance has never been greater. The AI Governance Lead Consultant will play a pivotal role in shaping how AI is responsibly developed and deployed across the enterprise.Your primary responsibility will beĀ supportingĀ the end-to-end AI governance process to promoteĀ executionĀ efficiency and effectiveness,Ā enablingĀ partners in governance, risk and compliance execute AI governance:Ā
Holistic governance,Ā riskĀ and compliance awareness:Ā UnderstandĀ howĀ different governance, risk and compliance stakeholders engage in risk management, including how AI is included in other risk programs such as Data, Model, Third Party, Security, etc.Ā
AI product development awareness:Ā Understand how those developing andĀ procuringĀ AI work, including their operating models, tools and platforms, and ways of working, so that AI governance can be best integrated.Ā
End-to-end process improvementĀ and simplification:Ā Perform continuous improvement over the end-to-end AI governance and risk management lifecycle, to ensure that risk and governanceĀ objectivesĀ are met in the most streamlined,Ā efficientĀ and coordinated manner possible.Ā
Coordination,Ā collaborationĀ and partnership:Ā Work closely with other risk functions to ensure AI governance processes are well-aligned to other technology and risk and return programs, such as Data, Model, Third Party, Security, etc.Ā

Education and Experience:Ā
5+ years of experience inĀ governance,Ā riskĀ or compliance roles.Ā Preferably experience inĀ supporting and improvingĀ governance or oversight programs.Ā

Functional Skills:Ā
Strong understanding ofĀ governance,Ā riskĀ and compliance concepts, including risk, controls, inventories, and howĀ governance is communicated to key stakeholders.Ā
Strong understanding of how AI Systems are developed orĀ procured, including how Digital Product TeamsĀ operate, including the tools and platforms they use to manage work and build AI.Ā
Ability to work across functional teams to drive alignment,Ā consensusĀ and collaboration towards the highest-priority areas.Ā
Experience withĀ building or improving a governance or oversight program, including the foundational components to make the programĀ most efficient and streamlined.Ā
Ability to translate technical risk into business impact and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.Ā
Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and leadership in fast-evolving environments.Ā
Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and driving consensus.Ā
