Our team is seeking a compliance specialist to conduct AI compliance assessments and develop regulatory documentation for Customer Service (CS) AI systems, supporting EU AI Act compliance, privacy requirements, and internal compliance standards.
Key job responsibilities
AI Assessment & Risk Analysis
- Conduct AI risk assessments for CS AI systems, determining risk classification under EU AI Act framework
- Perform technical reviews of AI/ML models including bias testing analysis and fairness evaluations
- Assess AI systems for privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA) and accessibility requirements
- Evaluate AI transparency and explainability mechanisms
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify and document AI-specific risks
Regulatory Documentation & Compliance
- Draft technical documentation for AI systems including system specifications, data governance, and risk management measures
- Prepare conformity assessment documentation supporting EU AI Act compliance
- Develop compliance documentation communicating risk analyses and recommendations
- Maintain AI system records in GRC framework (Archer/SIM)
Consultation & Guidance
- Consult with CS builder teams on AI compliance requirements during system development
- Provide guidance on compliance requirements for new AI implementations
- Develop guidance materials and documentation templates for teams deploying AI systems
- Respond to compliance questions and support troubleshooting of compliance issues
- Support remediation efforts for identified compliance gaps
Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor emerging AI regulations and risks
- Track internal control effectiveness for AI systems
- Support AI compliance program improvement initiatives
- Assist with regulatory intelligence and translation of requirements into actionable steps
- Support AI compliance projects as assigned
About the team
The CS Risk Mitigation organization provides assurance to Customer Service leadership that operational and reputational risks are effectively identified and addressed. Our team champions a proactive approach to risk management across Amazon by building mechanisms to validate that processes and controls are in place before issues arise. We combine deep risk expertise with technological innovation to protect our customers and business while enabling operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- Experience coordinating between technical teams, peers and business stakeholders
- Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization
- Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI regulations (EU AI Act)
- Ability to conduct assessments and create clear documentation
- AIGP certification or willingness to work towards achieving this.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with technology risk, IT security audit, compliance and/or relevant regulatory knowledge
- Knowledge of SQL or Python
- Experience in data analysis and reporting
- Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Relevant certifications such as CIPT, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or AWS certifications
- Exposure to bias testing, model explainability, or AI governance concepts

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
