Summary:
As a Responsible AI Tech Lead, you will ensure the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies. Your typical day will involve designing and deploying Responsible AI solutions, aligning AI projects with ethical principles and regulatory requirements, and providing leadership to foster cross-functional collaboration. You will advocate for the adoption of ethical AI practices, ensuring that all AI initiatives are conducted with integrity and accountability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * AI Governance by Design Engineering (Execution Focus not Policy writing) * Embed governance, explainability, and risk controls directly into AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI workflows * Translate enterprise AI policies, standards, and Responsible AI principles into: * Technical guardrails * Automated checks * Required evidence artifacts * CI/CD release gates * Implement governance as code and automation, eliminating reliance on manual or after-the-fact reviews. * AI Governance, Explainability & Human Oversight * Advise solution teams on explainability requirements for automated, semi-automated, and decision-support AI systems. * Ensure human-in-the-loop (HITL) controls are implemented where required by risk level or use case. * Define, generate, and manage explainability outputs that are: * Appropriate to the end-user or reviewer persona * Aligned to the decision context and operational use * Document explainability assumptions, limitations, and residual risk as governance evidence. * Metadata, Lineage & Governance Evidence Management * Operationalize AI Governance in Microsoft Purview by registering and maintaining: * AI models, features, prompts, agents, notebooks, and pipelines * Maintain end to end lineage across: * Data → features → models → inferences → outputs * Apply ownership, stewardship, sensitivity, and classification metadata. * Ensure governance is maintained: * Discoverable * Versioned * Traceable * Audit-defensible * GenAI & Agentic AI Governance Enablement * Apply governance patterns to LLMs, RAG, and Agentic AI solutions * Ensure governance traceability when synthetic data or augmented data is used for training, testing, or evaluation. * Implement Agentic AI lifecycle governance, including: * Observability of agent actions, deviations, and failures * Oversight of planning, reflection, and tool-use behavior * Controls on autonomous vs. constrained operation * Enable GenAI explainability, including: * Retrieval transparency for RAG (sources, relevance) * Inference context documentation * Decision trace generation where applicable * Explainability, Interpretability & Model Risk Controls * Own and operate explainability capabilities used for governance, audit, and trust. * Implement and operationalize techniques such as: * Feature attribution (e.g., SHAP or equivalent) * Driver and proxy detection * Global and local model explanations * Identify bias signals, risk indicators, and explainability gaps. * Store and manage explainability and observability outputs as governed, audit-ready artifacts. * Support audit, compliance, and risk review activities with defensible evidence. * Monitoring, Observability & Incident Readiness * Define and implement AI monitoring metrics, alerts, and thresholds for: * Performance degradation * Bias and ethical risk indicators * Drift and instability * Partner with MLOps and platform teams to integrate monitoring into production pipelines. * Support AI incident response and post-incident reviews with governance evidence. * Ensure all observability outputs are retained, traceable, and audit‑ready. * Governance Checkpoints & Release Gating * Define and enforce governance checkpoints within CI/CD pipelines (DEV-> TEST/UAT -> PROD). * Implement automated release checks for: * Required documentation and evidence artifacts * Explainability artifacts * Monitoring configuration * Data usage, lineage completeness, and medallion-layer alignment * Partner with Engineering and MLOps teams on promotion decisions while owning governance readiness, not platform approval. QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum 7 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, GenAI/LLMs, NLP, Agentic AI, data governance, or related roles. * Demonstrated experience operationalizing AI governance, explainability, and risk controls in production environments. * Deep understanding of Agentic AI architectures and lifecycle considerations. Technical Skills * Strong proficiency in Python with hands‑on experience in AI/ML engineering workflows. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, notebooks, pipelines). * Experience with Microsoft Purview (catalog, lineage, classification, ownership). As a Risk Management - Model Risk Program Associate in the Model Risk Governance and Review (MRGR) AI Center of Excellence (AI COE) team, you will design and build AI-native tools, workflows, and platforms that re-engineer how model risk professionals conduct validation and governance. The Sr. Manager, AI Audit & Automation designs, builds, and deploys production-grade AI and automation solutions that transform how audit work is planned, executed, and evidenced. The role combines hands-on AI engineering with deep integration into audit workflows, governance standards, and regulatory requirements. This is a building role. This role is measured by what is created, what is adopted, and what is auditable not by hours logged or meetings attended. The successful candidate builds working systems, trains audit teams on the tools being built, and continuously improves the production environment based on real engagement feedback. Results are measured in deployed tools, adopted workflows, and documented audit efficiency gains. The position reports to the Director, Technology Assurance, and partners closely with IT, Information Security, and the CAE to deliver audit-specific AI capabilities at enterprise scale. What You'll Do Partner with audit teams to define high-impact AI use cases, translating audit objectives into scalable technical solutions owing design and deployment end to end. Lead the build and rollout of AI-powered applications and automation frameworks across audit workflows, ensuring alignment with enterprise AI governance and applicable regulatory requirements. Own end-to-end technical delivery of the SOX ITGC Self-Assess Agents and similar AI workflows from prototype through development, UAT, and production environments in partnership with IT. Manage Claude API and enterprise LLM integrations — prompt engineering, structured output design, error handling, and performance optimization. Build and maintain data pipelines connecting audit systems to AI workflows, including Active Directory, access management platforms, ERP data, and audit management tools. Design and execute full population audit testing using Alteryx, Python, or SQL — replacing sample-based testing where data access permits. Develop continuous monitoring scripts that flag control exceptions in real time rather than at periodic testing intervals. Establish performance metrics and continuously optimize deployed solutions to produce measurable, auditable improvements in audit efficiency and control evaluation quality. Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation: model artifacts, system architecture diagrams, validation protocols, and data lineage records that satisfy both internal audit standards and external scrutiny. Drive adoption within Internal Audit by designing user-centric implementations, translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences, and delivering hands-on training to ensure durable workflow integration. Evaluate emerging AI, machine learning, and LLM technologies on an ongoing basis to assess applicability and scalability within Internal Audit environments. Serve as the technical lead for audit management system integration, overseeing scalable connectivity of AI tools, workflow automation, and enterprise platforms. What We're Looking For 4+ years in data science, AI/ML, analytics, or software engineering. Hands-on production deployment of AI/ML solutions. Demonstrated experience building or managing AI agents and automation frameworks. Enterprise LLM tool experience — Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or equivalent — including prompt engineering and structured output design. CI/CD, containerization, or MLOps implementation in an enterprise environment. Cloud platform experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with large-scale data platforms such as Snowflake. Python and SQL proficiency. Functional HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend development and dashboarding. REST API integration — consuming and orchestrating external APIs. Git — version control, branching, pull requests, and code review. Working knowledge of model governance, validation, and responsible AI practices. Understanding of AI ethics principles and applicable data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent). Ability to translate complex technical concepts into audit-relevant findings and stakeholder communications. Audit and domain knowledge Working knowledge of SOX IT General Controls Understanding of evidence sufficiency standards and workpaper documentation requirements. Familiarity with PCAOB AS 2605 or equivalent assurance standards. Experience deploying automation or analytics tools within an audit, risk, or compliance function. Ability to translate audit requirements into technical specifications independently. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Machine Learning, Statistics, or Computer Science is a plus. Preferred Experience Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, or Financial Services experience. Familiarity with audit management systems or GRC platforms. Experience integrating AI tools with enterprise systems and platforms. Big 4 or advisory firm experience in audit technology practice. Digital commerce, e-commerce, or sports and entertainment industry background. Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth technology company environment. Job Description

The Opportunity We are building an elite AI Red Team to stress-test and harden enterprise-scale AI products deployed to some of the world’s largest organizations. This is not a theoretical research role candidates must have considerable production experience. This role sits at the intersection of adversarial machine learning, enterprise security architecture, and governance. You will design and execute structured red team engagements across multiple AI systems — and translate technical risk into enterprise-aligned assurance. If you have ever been frustrated watching AI risk findings remain stuck in a slide deck with no operational impact, this role is designed to change that. What You’ll Do Design adversarial testing of LLM and AI-driven systems Conduct threat modelling across model, infrastructure and data layers Execute and oversee testing for: Prompt injection Jailbreaking Model exploitation Data leakage / extraction RAG system manipulation Translate findings into structured, audit-ready documentation Map vulnerabilities and remediation pathways to: ISO 27001 controls SOC 2 Trust Service Criteria ISO 27701 privacy controls ISO 27017 cloud security controls Partner closely with engineering, security, and compliance functions Present findings clearly to executive leadership This role ensures AI security findings integrated into enterprise governance frameworks. What We’re Looking For Core Technical Depth Strong understanding of adversarial machine learning Experience red teaming LLM or AI systems Deep familiarity with AI deployment architectures (RAG, APIs, vector DBs, fine-tuning pipelines) Strong Python proficiency Enterprise Security & Governance Fluency Experience working within ISO 27001 environments Practical knowledge of SOC 2 Trust Service Criteria Understanding of ISO 27701 privacy extensions Familiarity with ISO 27017 cloud security controls Ability to map technical findings to control frameworks Communication & Documentation Ability to produce clear, structured, audit-friendly documentation Comfortable presenting technical risk to executive audiences Strong written and verbal communication skills Who You Are Systems thinker Curious and adversarial in mindset Comfortable identifying uncomfortable truths Autonomous and fast-moving Enterprise-aware, not just technically strong Able to operate independently under executive leadership You understand that security is about both breaking systems and integrating findings into operational and compliance posture.
