The position requires developing, maintaining and operating a GRC Tool in support of required model governance activates including model inventory maintenance, validation finding workflows, model owner attestations, and model risk reporting. The VP, Model Risk Governance Analyst will conduct internal independent model validation projects. The VP, Model Risk Governance Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring business processes related to models are followed; documenting and presenting observations to the Model Risk Manager, tracking remediation progress; coordinating model validations projects, and preparing reporting dashboards. </p> <p style="text-align: center;"><br> <br><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the full lifecycle of the UDA program: inception and requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, operation, governance, and retirement/transition planning. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies; manage data governance, privacy, and security requirements.</li> <li>Take overall responsibility for a GRC tool (ModelEdge) maintenance, a cornerstone of the Bank’s model risk management program. Provide ModelEdge user support, enabling model owners to maintain and access current information on their models, documentation, model findings and performance monitoring metrics.</li> <li>Develop and produce reports in support of the execution of the Bank’s model risk management program and reporting to executives and Board committees. </li> <li>Support the execution of the model control framework including model identification, model risk rating, finding issuance and remediation, and ongoing model monitoring. </li> <li>Lead the quarterly model attestation process with model owners, a process designed to ensure model inventory data is kept current, ensure coordination with model owners, and support model risk assessments. </li> <li>Conduct independent model validation projects and issue resulting reports, covering model theory, implementation, documentation, change management activities, and proper results interpretation and reporting. </li> <li>Manage workflows associated with model validation findings including issuance, recording, reporting and remediation.</li> <li>Track model performance KRIs and prepare appropriate dashboard and risk reporting.</li> <li>Lead and maintain User Developed Application identification and ongoing monitoring process.</li> <li>Manage third parties that conduct model validations on the Bank’s behalf. Responsibilities include writing RFPs, specification of SOWs consistent with Bank’s needs, vendor selection, coordination with internal model owners and the review and acceptance of work products.</li> </ul> <p style="text-align: center;"><br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field required. </li> <li>Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience and seniority within the Model Risk Management domain. Experience with Credit, Market, or Liquidity models as developer, user, or validator is expected. Experience with Model Risk Management programs is a plus. Experience maintaining large data sets and Risk Reporting is a plus. Experience with GRC tools (ModelEdge, Archer, Service Now, or SharePoint) is a plus. </li> <li>Skills/Ability: Ability to conduct statistical and financial analyses using contemporary programing tools to assess accuracy of model assumptions and results is expected. Strong data manipulation and management skills (Excel, SQL). General knowledge of banking products. Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
