In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: * Performing high quality, risk-focused audit testing, in accordance with Internal Audit policies, methodologies, and standards in order to identify meaningful issues, risks and other exposures related to model risk in Finance’s Corporate Treasury functions, and Risk Management areas focusing on the Enterprise-wide management of Market Risk, Credit Risk, Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity Risk, Financial Crime Compliance (BSA / AML, and Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, and model governance. * Tests model development and model validation processes as per the Supervisory Guidance on Model Risk Management and the Bank’s Model Risk Management policies, standards, and procedures. * Operates as a team member or independently and has responsibility for specific procedures and results (i.e., head of a project relating to an audit, audit project, or model auditor). Ensures testing (or other tasks as applicable to a specialty) is adequately thorough and accurate to allow an evaluation of the adherence to company policies and procedures, audit methodologies, and all applicable regulations. Identifies existing and emerging risk/ control themes. * Prepare draft audit reports and follow-up of audit actions to ensure corrective actions have been appropriately implemented. * Learns new businesses, processes and regulations. * Work with other audit team members to mentor, guide and collaborate. * Work on projects of great complexity that involves significant understanding of the regulatory requirements, business models and processes for each assignment. * Maintain up to date knowledge of industry best practice and regulatory requirements. * Carry out other ad-hoc tasks and projects as directed by audit senior management. * Represent Internal Audit on projects and at management meetings. * Engages in Continuous Monitoring activities. Job Description AI Governance (AIG) Engineering team is part of the Data and AI Platform (DAP) technology organization in Visa. The team’s mission is to provide a Trustworthy AI – an engineering solution for Visa to achieve centralized AI excellence across Visa. We aim to develop, assess and deploy AI systems in a responsible and trustworthy way at Visa. The AI Observatory product provides an inventory of ML models and AI systems, oversight for model’s full lifecycle, and governance of all models’ accuracy, transparency, fairness, and robustness. We are also uplifting domain-specific models to the unified AI Governance framework and streamline the modeling efforts to a centralized AI excellence across Visa. As an AI Engineer in AI Governance engineering team, you will have the unique chance to make a direct and meaningful impact by building and delivering solutions that power AI Governance engineering solutions. You will design, enhance, and build solutions dealing with the next generation AI/ML and Generative AI technology and be an agent of transformation. We deliver and support strategic goals and have a lasting impact on our enterprise. Responsibilities: You will design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable AI governance services. You will apply robust architectural principles to create an effective and efficient solution. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including data scientists, product managers, and legal experts, to ensure compliance of AI systems with ethical standards and regulatory requirements. You will be instrumental in developing an advanced Responsible AI platform utilizing the latest Generative AI technology. You will address the evolving challenges in AI governance, ensuring the creation of responsible and trustworthy AI solutions. You will investigate and assess emerging technologies and third-party solutions, prototyping and strategizing their integration within Visa. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD. Preferred Qualifications: 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD. MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Participated in all phases of development—including design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and monitoring of applications. Hands on with Python or React.js skills, capable of reviewing auto generated code for potential issues. Handled containers and orchestration with Dockers and Kubernetes Evaluate software, write proof of concepts, and design new systems. Strong understanding of agentic frameworks. Experience with Gen AI models and developing applications that leverage their capabilities. Handled AI Governance issues - Bias, Drift, Risk, Privacy and Security.
