Job Description

The AI Governance Manager runs the day‑to‑day execution of IHG’s enterprise AI governance program. The role operationalizes and leads AI intake and risk reviews, prepares use cases for Responsible AI Steering Committee (SteerCo) review, and tracks decisions and follow‑through to ensure responsible AI adoption across the enterprise. It also develops clear, practical guidance to help teams understand when and how to use AI responsibly. This is a hands‑on governance role focused on turning AI risk and policy requirements into simple, repeatable processes that teams can easily follow. Your Day to Day AI Governance Operations & Intake * Run the day‑to‑day AI governance operating model, embedding AI risk into existing Security, Privacy, Legal, and Third‑Party Risk processes. * Coordinate AI intake and triage to ensure new AI tools, features, and use cases follow defined review pathways. * Maintain governance documentation and audit‑ready records of AI decisions and approvals. 2) SteerCo & Working Group Enablement * Prepare AI use cases for Responsible AI SteerCo review, including risk summaries, escalation rationale, and follow‑up actions. * Manage agendas, materials, and action tracking for AI governance forums. * Translate advisory outcomes into clear actions, owners, timelines, and remediation tracking. 3) Responsible Use Enablement & Guidance * Develop and maintain colleague‑friendly Responsible AI guidance (do/don’t use, data handling, approved vs. public tools, escalation paths). * Create practical job aids and a clear “how to engage governance” playbook for key audiences. 4) Policy, Platform & Agentic Governance Support * Provide operational input into AI‑related policy and standard updates. * Support governance for enterprise AI platforms, connectors, and agentic capabilities in partnership with Security Architecture and the AI CoE. * Ensure governance requirements, exceptions, and risk acceptances are tracked prior to rollout. 5) Metrics, Reporting & Readiness * Define and report AI governance KPIs and trends for SteerCo and leadership. * Produce executive‑ready reporting and support audit, regulatory, and incident readiness related to AI use. What We Need from You * 5+ years in governance, risk, compliance, security, privacy, data governance, or technology risk roles. * Demonstrated experience documenting and operationalizing enterprise processes (SOPs, workflows, RACI, templates). * Strong writing and editing skills with a track record producing clear guidance for non-technical audiences. * Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and driving decisions through governance forums. * Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and AI lifecycle (use case definition, data inputs, model development/selection, deployment, monitoring). * Strong program management skills (planning, tracking, dependency management, action closure). * Experience with AI governance / model risk management / Responsible AI programs. * Exposure to governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001/27701, SOC2, COBIT) and/or AI-related regulatory requirements. * Experience building training content with HR/L&D and deploying via LMS. * Tooling experience (ServiceNow GRC / Jira / Confluence / SharePoint / MS Purview / eDiscovery / workflow tools). * Preferred Hospitality/consumer, highly regulated, or global enterprise experience. Responsibilities PNNL is seeking a Senior Data Scientist - AI Assurance Researcher who has experience in understanding, exploring, and manipulating the internal mechanics and behaviors of AI models can provides valuable insights into the decision boundaries and mathematical fingerprints of data properties. The selected candidate should have extensive experience training models, accessing and working with data embeddings, the ability to derive theoretical queries from empirical results, and demonstrate the capacity to translate research papers and findings into mission relevant insights and tools. Key Responsibilities: Defines and leads research agendas in areas such as explainable AI, adversarial machine learning, AI safety, and the science of deep learning. Designs and executes rigorous ML experiments at scale, including large-scale training and evaluation on HPC infrastructure. Develops novel evaluation methodologies that go beyond standard performance metrics to assess generalization, robustness, and out-of-distribution behavior. Analyzes the internal structures and representations of deep learning models, with emphasis on large language models and large vision models. Interprets empirical results to identify promising research directions and guide strategic investment of team resources. DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW The Model Risk Management (MRM) group is a multidisciplinary group of quantitative experts at Goldman Sachs with presence in New York, Dallas, London, Birmingham, Warsaw, Hong Kong, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. The MRM group is responsible for independent oversight of Model Risk at the firm, ensuring compliance with Model Control Policy and related requirements, including documentation to evidence effective challenge over the Model development, implementation and usage of Models. The group’s primary mandate is to manage risk that arises from models used in the firm through its range of businesses– from models used for derivatives valuation to models used for risk management, liquidity and capital computations. In addition to independently reviewing these classes of models for their validity, theoretical consistency and implementation accuracy, the group is also responsible to assess the risk associated with model choice, e.g., exposure to choice of model in various contexts such as pricing exotic options or in calculating capital. As AI adoption increases across the firm, the MRM group plays a critical role in ensuring that innovative AI capabilities are deployed safely. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Play a central role in shaping firmwide AI risk management oversight and governance through: * Management of the AI oversight committee including agenda-setting, materials, and executive-level decision support * Managing the AI risk assessment and approval activities across control functions, working closely with the business and engineers to guide them through the approval process * Owning the firmwide view of AI usage, enabling senior leadership to understand risk posture, trends, and emerging concentrations including through management of the firmwide AI inventory, and tracking and reporting on committee activities, approvals, and follow-ups * Design, maintain, and evolve the firmwide AI governance framework, liaising with other business units such as Legal, Compliance, and Engineering to translate regulatory expectations and emerging industry standards into practical, scalable controls * Liaise with technology teams to design scalable infrastructure for AI inventory management and AI risk assessment and approval workflows * Manage and coordinate engagement with regulators, helping shape external understanding of the firm’s risk management approach QUALIFICATIONS * 3 plus years of experience, preferably in Financial Services and with working knowledge of AI * Excellent project management and communication skills, with ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders across various seniority levels * Excellent analytical, quantitative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
