Department Description

Global Risk:

The risk team in Fidelity covers the management oversight of Fidelity’s risk profile including key risk frameworks, policies and procedures and oversight and challenge processes. The team partner with the businesses to ensure Fidelity manages its risk profile within defined risk appetite.

The team is circa 120-strong, and growing, covering all facets of risk management including investment, operational, enterprise, and technology risk.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Function:

The ERM function is lead from Singapore and the primary purpose of the ERM team is to ensure that the business is managing risk within its agreed risk appetite, and in accordance with ERM Framework in place. The ERM function is also responsible for capital management, key risk regulatory reporting, policy governance and the ERM framework. It also acts as the oversight function for model risk, strategic risk, financial risk, ESG risk and strategic ventures. The ERM team size is currently 35, and the Model Risk team size is 12.

Purpose of your role

Your role will lead or support model validations. You'll undertake theoretical analysis and review of material models across asset classes, understanding the mathematical models and AI/ML models used and their implementation methods. You will also help with the continual development and maintenance of the model inventory and a model risk assessment process. Naturally, you'll actively engage and manage relationships with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform model validations and deliver high quality reports
• Stakeholder management, including with senior management model owners
• Contribute to the quality of the inventory data, incl. reporting data, materiality assessments, etc
• Support the development of modelling standards
• To provide SME advisory and assurance that models meet policy and regulatory requirements.
• To provide expert support and guidance to all stakeholders on model development and validation activities, to help ensure the global model risk operating model is consistently adopted in processes and procedures, and to help model owners, users and developers understand minimum standards, make use of templates, etc.
• Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with all key internal stakeholders

• Support model governance activities

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Hands on experience building, enhancing and running model validation processes
• An understanding of all model types (investment, pricing, risk & capital) preferred
• Experience in quantitative risk related roles in the financial sector - investment banking or asset management is preferable.
• Ability to demonstrate project delivery across model validation, model documentation will be highly advantageous.
• Hands-on mentality
• Excellent at providing innovative ideas and comfortable working under pressure
• Strong MS Excel & expertise with VBA, model library programming (C++, Java, Python &/or other).
• Dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and client satisfaction
• University degree in Quantitative/Finance/Mathematical subject or similar
• At least 3 years post-qualification experience.

• CFA/FRM/CQF and/or strong expertise in AI and ML models, would be advantageous

Key responsibilities … * Lead the design and uplift of the end-to-end Responsible AI governance framework, covering areas such as transparency, bias mitigation, explainability etc * Drive the operationalisation of policies and frameworks, embedding clear guardrails across AI development and use, including for third-party and internal AI to manage AI risks * Act as the internal SME on AI regulation and risk frameworks, translating regulatory expectations into clear, implementable technical and governance requirements (e.g. ISO42001, ISO42005, NIST AI RMF, Australian Guidance for AI Adoption) * Provide senior guidance and decisioning support on Responsible AI risks, controls and trade-offs across strategic initiatives and executive forums * Define and implement technical capabilities that enable Responsible AI by design, including evaluation, monitoring, traceability and auditability * Uplift and scale governance tooling and processes, including leveraging AI to enhance Responsible AI oversight and improve efficiency of governance activities * Lead AI use case intake, triage and preliminary risk assessments, partnering with SME and technical teams to assess risks such as explainability and ensure appropriate human-in-the-loop controls etc * Maintain core enterprise capabilities (e.g. AI inventory, monitoring and reporting) to support transparency, accountability and effective risk management * Partner with business and technology teams to ensure AI solutions deliver genuine customer value while meeting ethical and risk expectations * Act as a senior connector across multiple stakeholders to balance safety, compliance and delivery speed, and drive a cohesive Responsible AI culture * Champion ethical AI use, including initiatives that deliver positive societal and community outcomes * Develop and deliver training and organisational uplift on Responsible AI expectations and requirements Skills & experience * Demonstrated experience operating at a senior leadership level, driving enterprise-wide strategy and execution initiatives * Strong experience in AI risk, governance, compliance, legal, technology or related disciplines within a regulated environment * Deep understanding of Responsible AI principles and ability to translate them into practical, scalable controls * Strong understanding of AI technologies, how they work, associated risks and how to manage them (e.g. bias, explainability, drift, misuse) * Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes across complex, cross-functional environments * Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks and lifecycle oversight processes * Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability with sound judgement * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance. POSITION SUMMARY Bayview Asset Management is seeking a Senior Analyst, AI Governance to enhance the firm’s enterprise technology governance function. This role is responsible for assisting in the establishing and overseeing of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance framework that ensures alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and operational excellence. This Sr. Analyst will oversee AI governance, model risk alignment, technology risk management, and regulatory compliance across the organization. This role serves as a key control function, partnering with IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, and business leadership to ensure safe, responsible, and compliant use of technology — including emerging AI and Generative AI capabilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Document AI frameworks aligned with NIST, SCF, NYDFS, and regulatory best practices Continue the oversight of embed AI governance into IT, data, and enterprise risk programs Ensure governance is scalable, repeatable, and audit-ready through maintenance of AI risk taxonomy, reporting and escalations Partner with Model Risk Management to align with SR 11‑7 and OCC/Fed guidance Set standards for AI/model documentation and lifecycle oversight Govern internal, third‑party, and Generative AI solutions Identify, assess, and monitor AI risks Own mitigation strategies, control frameworks, and centralized risk register Assist in risk assessments, governance reviews, and control testing Ensure compliance with IT and AI regulatory requirements Serve as primary liaison for audits and regulatory exams Maintain documentation, evidence retention, and audit trails Lead periodic reviews and operational adoption Aligning governance with IT and digital transformation strategy Provide governance review for new technology initiatives Assess emerging AI technologies prior to adoption Define AI governance standards for vendors Partner with Vendor Risk to assess controls, transparency, validation, and data protection Ensure AI‑specific contractual safeguards SKILLS & REQUIRMENTS: Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks and standards (COBIT, ITIL, NIST, ISO 27001) Proficiency with IT governance, risk, and compliance tools Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex concepts to non‑technical audiences Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with sound judgment in complex situations Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Demonstrated ability to develop and implement AI policies, procedures, and controls Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Understanding of AI/ML systems, including Generative AI and LLMs (conceptual + risk perspective; not hands-on engineering) QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred Experience in AI/IT governance, risk management, or a related field, with direct exposure to AI/ML governance strongly preferred Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in the IT domain Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CGEIT are highly desirable. Location and Compensation: This role can be fully remote, however if a candidate is found in the Toronto area, it is preferred. The compensation available for this role can be between $130,000 - $160,000 CAD. This range is dependent on experience. There is also a performance-based bonus structure available.
