We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Analyst in Risk Process Validation Group (RPVG) team

In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyse and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.

What you’ll do in the role:

Perform independent validations of select FRM processes and controls, including those relating to regulatory and Basel requirements;
Support execution of reviews (e.g., planning, documenting, reporting) and continuous monitoring activities (e.g., risk assessments);
Contribute to improving the team's validation methodology and execution capabilities;
Interface with key stakeholders, governing bodies, and business partners to review status of validation work, results of test work, and quarterly reporting;
Partner with other independent validation teams, e.g., Model Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance (RRQA), to support a unified validation program end-to-end. Experience
Bachelors or higher degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other business or risk management related areas
Experience from consulting, risk management, or internal audit covering processes and controls across risk stripes(e.g., Credit, Market, Liquidity, Capital and Data Risk);
Experience in data analytics, data visualization, or process automation;

What you’ll bring to the role:

Strong understanding of banking regulatory environment, including familiarity with Bank of International Settlements (BIS)principles (e.g., Basel III, BCBS 239, FRTB) and FRB Capital Planning requirements and practices (e.g., CCAR, DFAST);
Minimum of 6 months of relevant industry experience with core banking, investment and trading products, and banking regulations (e.g., FRB SR 11-07, SR 12-17, SR 14-08, SR 15-18, PRA SS1/23);
Understanding of data lineage and database schema; experience working with large data sets, data warehouse or data lake; knowledge of IT general controls; business analyst experience;
Knowledge and experience with data analytics and data visualization tools and systems (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx,
Dataiku, QlikView, Tableau); experience with writing or editing SQL, VBA, Python and/or other programming languages; advanced Excel knowledge;
Relevant certifications or designations (e.g., CFA or FRM) (preferred).

Job Responsibilities: AI Intake & Processing - 40% Guide staff through the full lifecycle of AI/ML use case intake, including submission support, intake training, and lifecycle tracking. Coordinate with enterprise teams to maintain a robust AI/ML inventory across pilot, production, and retirement phases. As Executive Manager, Responsible AI, you will translate regulatory, ethical and organisational expectations into clear standards, operational controls and embedded practices across the AI lifecycle. This is a strategy and execution role, requiring strong judgement, deep AI governance expertise, deep understanding the Responsible AI principle and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex environment. Key responsibilities … * Lead the design and uplift of the end-to-end Responsible AI governance framework, covering areas such as transparency, bias mitigation, explainability etc * Drive the operationalisation of policies and frameworks, embedding clear guardrails across AI development and use, including for third-party and internal AI to manage AI risks * Act as the internal SME on AI regulation and risk frameworks, translating regulatory expectations into clear, implementable technical and governance requirements (e.g. ISO42001, ISO42005, NIST AI RMF, Australian Guidance for AI Adoption) * Provide senior guidance and decisioning support on Responsible AI risks, controls and trade-offs across strategic initiatives and executive forums * Define and implement technical capabilities that enable Responsible AI by design, including evaluation, monitoring, traceability and auditability * Uplift and scale governance tooling and processes, including leveraging AI to enhance Responsible AI oversight and improve efficiency of governance activities * Lead AI use case intake, triage and preliminary risk assessments, partnering with SME and technical teams to assess risks such as explainability and ensure appropriate human-in-the-loop controls etc * Maintain core enterprise capabilities (e.g. AI inventory, monitoring and reporting) to support transparency, accountability and effective risk management * Partner with business and technology teams to ensure AI solutions deliver genuine customer value while meeting ethical and risk expectations * Act as a senior connector across multiple stakeholders to balance safety, compliance and delivery speed, and drive a cohesive Responsible AI culture * Champion ethical AI use, including initiatives that deliver positive societal and community outcomes * Develop and deliver training and organisational uplift on Responsible AI expectations and requirements Skills & experience * Demonstrated experience operating at a senior leadership level, driving enterprise-wide strategy and execution initiatives * Strong experience in AI risk, governance, compliance, legal, technology or related disciplines within a regulated environment * Deep understanding of Responsible AI principles and ability to translate them into practical, scalable controls * Strong understanding of AI technologies, how they work, associated risks and how to manage them (e.g. bias, explainability, drift, misuse) * Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes across complex, cross-functional environments * Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks and lifecycle oversight processes * Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability with sound judgement * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance. POSITION SUMMARY Bayview Asset Management is seeking a Senior Analyst, AI Governance to enhance the firm’s enterprise technology governance function. This role is responsible for assisting in the establishing and overseeing of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance framework that ensures alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and operational excellence. This Sr. Analyst will oversee AI governance, model risk alignment, technology risk management, and regulatory compliance across the organization. This role serves as a key control function, partnering with IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, and business leadership to ensure safe, responsible, and compliant use of technology — including emerging AI and Generative AI capabilities. Location and Compensation: This role can be fully remote, however if a candidate is found in the Toronto area, it is preferred. The compensation available for this role can be between $130,000 - $160,000 CAD. This range is dependent on experience. There is also a performance-based bonus structure available.
