Secure the AI supply chain and MLOps infrastructure by vetting third-party foundation models, open-source weights, and AI APIs before production integration, and partnering with ML engineering to protect training pipelines, feature stores, and model serving endpoints. Champion compliance and AI governance by operationalizing frameworks such as OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, NIST AI RMF, and EU AI Act requirements — collaborating with legal, privacy, and responsible AI teams to support audits and evolving regulatory expectations. Scale security as a force multiplier by evaluating and deploying security tooling, detecting policy violations, driving security outcomes, and ensuring security initiatives never become a bottleneck to business objectives. Elevate the security culture across the organization by serving as a subject matter expert, mentoring engineering teams, and leading incident response efforts from investigation through mitigation and prevention. The Team You'll Join You will join a growing Information Security team at Recursion, focused on enabling Recursion to decode biology by providing world class technology services that are designed and fit for purpose. You'll collaborate with your teammates and across departments to agree on what the most important challenges and capabilities are, then figure out how to get us there. The Experience You'll Need Education & Tenure: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in product security or application security and a proven track record securing complex products. Security Fundamentals: Deep understanding of security principles, threats, and countermeasures as they relate to product design and development, with familiarity across standards and frameworks including OWASP, NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and CVSS-based vulnerability prioritization. Offensive Security & Penetration Testing: Hands-on proficiency with penetration testing frameworks and tools (Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark), web application attack techniques (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, OWASP Top Ten), and the ability to simulate real-world attacks and assess their impact. Secure Development & Engineering: Expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) with strong command of secure coding practices, encryption standards, and integrating security tooling into CI/CD and development workflows. The successful candidate will be a hands-on analyst who: Translates regulatory and policy requirements into actionable governance frameworks for AI orchestration systems. Designs and implements process guardrails and controls upstream—within AI orchestration prompts, system architecture, and LLM pipeline design—to ensure continuous governance. Partners with engineering and legal teams to define, monitor, and audit the behavior of AI agents operating at scale. About the team AI is moving fast and Stripe is moving fast to adopt it. But we need to make sure we do all of this safely, and for most of these tools enterprise-grade security isn't just available off the shelf. That's where the AI security team comes in - we are responsible for building and partnering to create the right security primitives to enable Stripe to move fast safely. This is a team that will be working in the low level components of our AI stack so both infrastructure and security experience are pluses. This space is moving fast so being comfortable with ambiguity and changes in priority are a must. This is a foundational role — you'd be the first engineer on the team. What you'll do Engineers on this team will do a mixture of partnering and advising with teams building AI infrastructure and products, and building security infrastructure primitives for AI. One of our major focuses will be building a security tooling layer that sits in the inference path, providing detection and protection against AI specific threats like prompt injection, jailbreaks, and tool misuse. Responsibilities Build security frameworks integrated with our core AI infrastructure Design and implement defenses against AI specific threats like prompt injection and jailbreaks Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure Stripe's AI infrastructure and products are built securely Support other engineering teams in integrating security primitives Uphold our high engineering standards and improve our codebase and processes Design and build systems that help define the state of the art for AI security Who you are We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible. Pay and benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $156,800 - $285,600. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Job Description

We are currently seeking a Director, Risk Analytics & Model Risk Management to join our team. The Director, Risk Analytics & Model Risk Management reports to the VP, Enterprise Risk Management and provides the leadership to the Risk Analytics & Model Risk Management team. This role assists risk leaders by providing high-quality data, advanced analytics, reporting and risk insights to support the monitoring, risk assessment and decision making related to financial risks, in particular credit risk, market and Liquidity Risk and Capital Risk. The Director drives the development and advancement of analytical capabilities and serves as the primary subject matter expert in model risk management, enterprise stress-testing & scenarios analysis, and is the subject matter expert for data management for the risk team. This position also leads the annual ICAAP process in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Accountabilities 1. Leadership: Provides leadership and direction to the team including recruitment, training and development, establishing annual goals and completing performance management processes. 2. Data Analytics: Collaborates with data owners to identify and select relevant data sources from both internal and external sources to address analytical requirements. Assesses portfolio performance metrics such as delinquency, default, and loss rates to support the monitoring and enhancement of FW’s credit portfolio and offer analytical support for efficient oversight of treasury activities. Manages and maintains data sets required for Climate Risk reporting and analysis. 3. Risk Measurement & Reporting: Develops and oversees statistical and analytical models to quantify risk across financial risks of the Enterprise Risk Management framework. Prepares regular and ad hoc reports as requested by risk leaders, the First West leadership team, and the Board of Directors. 4. Stress Testing: Designs and implements tools and methodologies required for stress testing and analysis related to financial risks. Collaborates with risk leaders to determine scenario assumptions and appropriate methodologies and continuously improve stress testing methodologies to meet changing market dynamics. Lastly, keeps abreast of best practices in stress testing methodology and related regulatory requirements. 5. Model Risk Governance: Leads the enterprise Model Risk Management program, which includes the monitoring, measurement & reporting of model validation, model inventory, and attestations with internal & external stakeholders. Performs and gathers models statistical test results and required analysis to support models’ performance assessment. Prepares appropriate materials to support the Model Risk Oversight and follow-up on action items as required. 6. Data Management: Leads the Data Management program within the second line. Implements robust controls to maintain data completeness and accuracy. Collaborates with internal and external partners to improve the structure, governance of risk data, and identify inconsistencies in the dataset. Stays abreast of data management requirements and best practices. Works closely with other business units to comply with Data Management policy and enhance data security and quality. 7. ICAAP: Leads the ICAAP working group and oversees the annual Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and conducts scenario analysis as needed. Incorporates OSFI requirements and applies changes to the ICAAP methodology as required. 8. Risk Systems Support: Collaborates with internal partners to ensure systems used by the second line are technically supported and supplied with accurate, high-quality data. Coordinates with IT for system updates and enhancements by providing business analysis and support. Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline required e.g. Mathematics or Science; masters preferred * Financial, Accounting or Risk Management designation required or an equivalent combination of education and experience * 8-9 years in progressively senior positions within an OSFI regulated financial institutions * Experience in risk management, or analytically focused role, including 5 years leading and developing people required * Experience working with credit portfolio data and resolving data governance challenges. Risk analytics and modeling techniques required * Strong leadership skills (communication, coaching and change management) * Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and build long-term relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative options and recommendations to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the risk analytics and reporting processes. * Deep understanding of quantitative methods and complex statistical analysis. * Demonstrated advanced knowledge of advanced analytics, modeling and stress-testing. * Experience in running the ICAAP and preparing related reporting. * Demonstrated advanced knowledge of enterprise risk principles within a financial institution, including knowledge of credit, capital, liquidity and market risk * Displays an understanding of risk management principles and activities. * Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards (e.g. OSFI, FCAC). As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will... As the Staff AI Security Engineer, you will be the foundational builder of Cribl’s AI security and governance layer. Your key responsibilities will include: AI Security Architecture & Governance: Define, threat model, and operationalize the security architecture for Cribl’s internal AI platform, including standards, controls, approval patterns, and secure-by-design guidance for AI use cases before they scale into production. We are looking for a talented and passionate Lead Risk Analyst - Model Validation to join our Model Risk Oversight Team. The team focuses on validating and overseeing the risks associated with all models across Starling, particularly those involving advanced modeling techniques (including AI). If you have model validation / model build experience across a variety of models (e.g., credit risk, AI, forecasting) and are eager to be part of the team that plays a vital role in model risk management, we want to hear from you! As a Lead Analyst - Model Validation, you will be responsible for: Validating different types of models used across Starling, such as IFRS 9, Forecasting, Operational Risk, AI/ML models. Producing validation reports whilst engaging with the model developers and model owners to ensure the validation findings are understood and can be addressed within the agreed timelines. Producing committee papers and presenting at committees. Presenting high-level validation findings to Senior leadership. Engaging and forming close relationships with the key stakeholders to enable good model risk management practices throughout the model lifecycle. Graduate level education preferable, ideally in a numerical degree (or an equivalent work experience); Experience in model validation or model development, ideally across different model types. Knowledge of the AI models would be a bonus. Expert in the use of analytical tools such as Python/R/SQL/SAS and spreadsheets. Ability to articulate findings from analysis in a succinct and clear way that is suitable for the target audience. Organised, flexible and adaptable, with the ability to switch between tasks seamlessly. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
