About your team :

Our Risk Management team is dedicated to ensuring the stability and security of our bank by identifying, assessing, and managing risks. With a strong focus on regulatory compliance, we proactively develop strategies for risk mitigation and ensure that our bank always maintains adequate capital buffers.

About your role :

In this role, you will act as an independent 2nd Line validation function, ensuring that all models used across FIL Fondsbank (FFB) are subject to a robust and consistent validation cycle. You will validate FFB’s risk model landscape, which primarily consists of simple to medium‑complexity models across several risk types (Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, IRRBB, Business Risk, Pension Risk, ICAAP, including stress testing, and EUC‑based models).

You will help to ensure that FFB maintains a robust, well‑documented, audit‑ready model environment aligned with MaRisk, CRR/KWG and internal governance standards.

Key responsibilities :

Maintain and further enhance FFB’s Model Inventory, including risk classification and validation cycle.
Conduct independent validations covering model purpose, data quality, methodology, implementation logic, and testing of key assumptions and outputs, while maintaining clear separation from model development and ownership
Prepare clear, decision‑oriented validations, present results to FFB governance (e.g., Executive Committee) including model approval recommendations and use restrictions and set minimum content for Validation Reports.
Support EUC governance, including capturing and assessing EUCs, applying control standards, and assisting model owners with compliance requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the model lifecycle processes (change management, documentation standards, decommissioning) and maintain high‑quality templates, guidance documents, and validation procedures
Support audits and regulatory reviews conducted by BaFin, Deutsche Bundesbank, and Internal Audit.
Support a good model risk culture through guidance and collaboration with 1st line model owners

About you :

You bring strong expertise in model validation and are comfortable operating in a regulatory environment. The ideal candidate should have:

3–5 years of experience in model validation, model risk management, or a closely related quantitative risk function within banking or asset management.
Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Physics) or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of regulatory expectations for model governance, including MaRisk, CRR/KWG and EBA/ECB guidance.
Ability to analyze and understand a broad range of model types, including OpRisk, credit, market, liquidity, IRRBB, ICAAP, stress testing, and EUC‑based models.
Proven ability to produce high-quality documentation, meeting German supervisory expectations and communicate validation outcomes clearly to senior stakeholders.
Hands‑on proficiency with Python (preferred) and/or R; experience with version control, reproducible analysis, and data visualization.
Ability to exercise independent judgement and maintain objectivity in challenging model owners and stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German.

Role Description: We are looking for a Data & AI Governance Configuration Manager to join our Data & AI Governance organisation, managing a team of individual contributors and contractors on and off shore. The Configuration Manager must have demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team of analysts and specialists (up to 5-7 people) in addition to demonstrated experience in managing large cross-organizational Data & AI Governance initiatives. Ideal candidates should have a technical background in Data & AI Governance Standards & Frameworks, Data Ownership & Stewardship, Risk Management, Regulatory Change, and Business Operations and various Data Governance tools. They must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. As Executive Manager, Responsible AI, you will translate regulatory, ethical and organisational expectations into clear standards, operational controls and embedded practices across the AI lifecycle. This is a strategy and execution role, requiring strong judgement, deep AI governance expertise, deep understanding the Responsible AI principle and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex environment. You will operate at the intersection of AI, governance, and responsible innovation, ensuring AI is deployed responsibly, delivers meaningful customer outcomes, and contributes positively to the broader community. Key responsibilities … * Lead the design and uplift of the end-to-end Responsible AI governance framework, covering areas such as transparency, bias mitigation, explainability etc * Drive the operationalisation of policies and frameworks, embedding clear guardrails across AI development and use, including for third-party and internal AI to manage AI risks * Act as the internal SME on AI regulation and risk frameworks, translating regulatory expectations into clear, implementable technical and governance requirements (e.g. ISO42001, ISO42005, NIST AI RMF, Australian Guidance for AI Adoption) * Provide senior guidance and decisioning support on Responsible AI risks, controls and trade-offs across strategic initiatives and executive forums * Define and implement technical capabilities that enable Responsible AI by design, including evaluation, monitoring, traceability and auditability * Uplift and scale governance tooling and processes, including leveraging AI to enhance Responsible AI oversight and improve efficiency of governance activities * Lead AI use case intake, triage and preliminary risk assessments, partnering with SME and technical teams to assess risks such as explainability and ensure appropriate human-in-the-loop controls etc * Maintain core enterprise capabilities (e.g. AI inventory, monitoring and reporting) to support transparency, accountability and effective risk management * Partner with business and technology teams to ensure AI solutions deliver genuine customer value while meeting ethical and risk expectations * Act as a senior connector across multiple stakeholders to balance safety, compliance and delivery speed, and drive a cohesive Responsible AI culture * Champion ethical AI use, including initiatives that deliver positive societal and community outcomes * Develop and deliver training and organisational uplift on Responsible AI expectations and requirements Skills & experience * Demonstrated experience operating at a senior leadership level, driving enterprise-wide strategy and execution initiatives * Strong experience in AI risk, governance, compliance, legal, technology or related disciplines within a regulated environment * Deep understanding of Responsible AI principles and ability to translate them into practical, scalable controls * Strong understanding of AI technologies, how they work, associated risks and how to manage them (e.g. bias, explainability, drift, misuse) * Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes across complex, cross-functional environments * Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks and lifecycle oversight processes * Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability with sound judgement * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance. POSITION SUMMARY Bayview Asset Management is seeking a Senior Analyst, AI Governance to enhance the firm’s enterprise technology governance function. This role is responsible for assisting in the establishing and overseeing of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance framework that ensures alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and operational excellence. This Sr. Analyst will oversee AI governance, model risk alignment, technology risk management, and regulatory compliance across the organization. This role serves as a key control function, partnering with IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, and business leadership to ensure safe, responsible, and compliant use of technology — including emerging AI and Generative AI capabilities. Location and Compensation: This role can be fully remote, however if a candidate is found in the Toronto area, it is preferred. The compensation available for this role can be between $130,000 - $160,000 CAD. This range is dependent on experience. There is also a performance-based bonus structure available.
